I struggled with this one andrushed through the end a bit as it didn't make very much sense because (view spoiler)
The heroine, Clair was pretty stupid she's a TSTL for sure though she was suppose to be streetsmart. Michael was frustrating he treated Clair like a nuisance for the most part and wanted nothing to do with her then does a 180. The two lusted after each other like crazy but didn't really mesh well personality wise to me. Clair being independent and Michael being very controlling. They also never really trusted the each other so it felt pretty much like the insta-lust forced them together.
Not that is was an entirely bad book in the contrary the world was pretty interesting. It has basically vampires versus vampire hunters thing along with some drama among the dhampirs. It was well written so I may read the next book. Hopefully the next couple compliments each other more.
